The hotel is located in a serene part of town close to the lake, providing a picturesque view of the nearby hills. the room and bathroom are spacious, excellently furnished with antique furniture. the service is exceptional, with the friendly manager offering lunch sandwiches for free and cooking a perfect breakfast with a variety of options. the hotel offers convenient facilities like close proximity to bike rental, hiking trails and ample parking space on the streets.
The hotel's customer service could be improved to avoid rude interactions with customers like pressuring them to pay unexpected extra charges, as reported in one of the reviews.

When we arrived we were taken through to the garden for a drink and relax enjoying the marvellous view and surroundings. The rooms are all themed and decorated to a high standard with amazing detail. We had the 1001 nights room on the top floor and loved the cosy relaxing atmosphere it created, We knew it was the smallest of the rooms but that wasn't a problem as we were only there 3 nights. The bathrooms are sumptious with a large bath, which is very relaxing compared to the usual showers most places provide. Breakfast was fantastic, the choice and the presentation the best we have found. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Very highly recomend

Ad, one of the co-owners, is extremely welcoming. The room we stayed in was very unique - a safari-style room, plus an enormous bathroom, and a big balcony with a nice view of the Ardenne hills. The breakfast was good quality, parking outsider was free, and wifi was free. A very nice break from reality for the weekend.
The wifi is the room was slow so we had to use it from the bathroom. Apart from that very minor detail, it's a great hotel to stay in.

The breakfast was delicious with many choices, including homemade pie. The themed French room was beautifully decorated and created a great mood. The attention to detail was evident throughout the hotel, with everything clean and tidy. The owner was friendly and provided helpful recommendations for the town and walking routes. The hotel was dog-friendly and allowed dogs to wait in the room. The view from the garden was gorgeous. The hotel had a historic and charming ambiance. Excellent countryside for outdoor activities.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

The Hotel Dufay and our host were remarkable- the location is fantastic for walking to the heart of Stavelot, to visiting many nearby towns, like Spa and Marmeldy, to seeing the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and to riding our bikes. The facility was clean, wonderfully decorated, yet welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and filling each day. All in all, it was simply a wonderful place and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
I would suggest access to the dining room in the evening for a tea service- something simple only, like hot water / tea and biscuits.

Great stay! Just perfect for my business trip. The staff were fantastic, helpful and polite, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room was modern and equipped with everything I needed, including a very comfortable bed. The location was ideal, with a great selection of local restaurants and cafes. It was also very easy to get around, with several transport options nearby. And the icing on the cake was the fast and free wifi, which made it easy for me to work and keep in touch with my colleagues.
That the view from my window wasn't great; it faced a back alley.

We had an amazing stay during Christmas at this hotel. the room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. the breakfast was delicious with a wide range of choices, including homemade pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the town center and close to all main attractions. We also enjoyed the free parking on-site, which is always a plus during the busy holiday season.
Our experience was truly delightful, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and charming place to stay during their holiday.
